DESCRIPTION:
A small, plump songbird with a distinctive appearance. This individual, a male, features a grey crown and nape, prominent white cheeks, and a large black bib covering its throat and upper breast. Its underparts are a pale greyish-white. The back and wings display streaky brown plumage with noticeable rufous (reddish-brown) patches, particularly on the shoulders. It possesses a sturdy, conical bill, and is seen holding a seed.
