DESCRIPTION:
The bird prominently featured on the right, facing away from the camera, is a small, stout bird with a short, conical bill. Its plumage is primarily dull grayish-brown across the back and head, with some lighter undertones. This coloration, lacking the distinctive black bib and chestnut markings of an adult male, is characteristic of a female or juvenile House Sparrow. Another bird, partially visible on the left, appears to be of the same species, exhibiting similar drab brownish-grey plumage and a short, sturdy beak, consistent with its presence at a feeder full of sunflower seeds.
