Mourning Dove

DESCRIPTION:
A medium-sized bird with a plump body and a relatively small head. Its plumage is primarily a soft grayish-brown on the back and wings, transitioning to a lighter, somewhat pinkish or rufous-brown on the head and breast area. It has a small, dark eye and a slender, dark beak. The bird is positioned at the edge of a platform feeder filled with what appear to be pistachio nuts or sunflower seeds in shells.
